2014 best menage, romance, vampires, mary menage whispers, lynne st. james, voteI’m so excited, thrilled, ecstatic and in awe that my fans nominated Twice Bitten and Bewitched for the Ménage Romance 2014 Fan Choice Awards for Best Ménage Romance in the Vampire Series category! I can’t thank you all enough for your love and support over the past year as a new author. Thank you for taking a chance on me and my Vampires of Eternity Series.

There are so many amazing authors out there who write ménage and to be in the same category as them is truly amazing for me.  So please vote, even if it isn’t for my book, let’s show our support to all the ménage authors out there.

The voting is open until February 7, 2014, and you can vote for your favorite books, authors, covers, and publishers.

None of this would be possible without Mary Ménage Whispers! She works so hard to support all the ménage authors and get our names out there by reviewing, blogging and posting. Thank you so much, Mary!

One of those days

McDonalds, Happy Meal, French fries, fries, hamburger, McDonalds Happy Meal, marbles, screws, games, brain, work, focus, lynne st. james, twice bitten to paradiseEver have one of those days when you’re just a few fries short of a happy meal? Or maybe a few marbles have worked their way loose? Or screws for that matter?

I’ve noticed that when I put most of my focus into one or two things, usually a work project and the current book I’m writing, other things in my brain seem to come loose. Hence the missing French fries, screws and marbles.

coffee, nectar of the gods, delicious

I haven’t found a cure for this, although coffee does help – of course! I mean when doesn’t coffee help?

Do any of you have similar experiences? What do you do to put your fries back?

Dreams and Doubts

doubts, dreams, happiness, sunset, photo, taking chances, lynne st. james

Are you pursuing your dreams? Or are doubts keeping your feet stuck in the mud of disappointment? Dreams were easy when we were young, they didn’t have to something real. My oldest daughter wanted to be a fairy princess or a movie star, okay the movie star part could be real. My youngest wanted to talk to dolphins.

Of course their dreams changed, morphed into others as they got older. My dream was to be a published author, to be able to go in to the bookstore and find my book on a shelf for sale.

Part of that dream has come true. I am a multi-published ebook author. Doubt wrestled with me many times over the years. I started and stopped writing, and began and put aside many different stories. I believed I wasn’t good enough, didn’t have enough talent, that my stories were boring. Doubt and fear had me firmly in their grasp.

But I didn’t give up! I finished a book, submitted it, and it was accepted. I had held on for the rocky ride and succeeded. It was amazing!

When I think about everything that has happened since then I am so glad I didn’t give in to the doubt. From the acceptance letter, the first autograph requested, the first review, and the first fan mail. Truly a dream come true.

Dreams/doubts? What are you hoping for? Please share.

Hi I’m Lynne and I’m addicted to…

September 3, 2013 by Lynne St. James 2 Comments

starbucks, coffee, coffee addict, lynne st. james

Yet another way to have #Starbucks at home!

Coffee! Yup, I admit it. I crave it, dream about it, and get headaches when I don’t drink enough. I know I should cut back, but there could be so many worse things I’m addicted to. Like chocolate…well okay, let’s not go there.

Yesterday I was shopping and I found something mega awesome. Starbucks has a pre-made Caffé Mocha. Seriously? Oh yeah. They also had caramel macchiato and vanilla latte flavors. I restrained myself and only bought one of these lovelies. I couldn’t wait to get home to try it, and you know what? It was simply mahhhhveloussssss! Oh yeah. Addiction mode activated!

Knowing I had that container of deliciousness to assist with my work day today actually made it not so bad to get up when the alarm chirped way too early for my liking. So here I am over-caffeinated and happy as a clam or something.

So what is your addiction, errr secret pleasure? I can’t possibly be the only one!
